Treatments

When your child needs treatment, we build the plan around them. Our team is credentialed in sedation and general anesthesia for children who need extra help staying comfortable and safe.

Infant Exams

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends a first dental visit when the first tooth appears, or by your baby’s first birthday.

Last Visit

It’s always bittersweet when a patient outgrows us. We hope every teen leaves with habits they’ll keep as adults.

Our Story

A family practice, for families.

Dr. William Coppola opened Northeast Children’s Dentistry in 1979. His children, Dr. Lauren Greene and Dr. Kevin Coppola, grew up in San Antonio, and Dr. Kevin Coppola spent many childhood afternoons at his dad’s practice. Today the two of them own it.

We’re a local, family-owned practice, not part of a corporate chain, so decisions about your child’s care are made by pediatric dentists, not a head office. Our team includes board-certified pediatric dentists, and we keep visits unhurried so there’s always room for your questions.

Looking for a children’s dentist in San Antonio? Our pediatric dentists see patients at five offices across the city and in Schertz, close to Cibolo and Universal City.

We look after your child’s whole mouth, not just their teeth, and keep each visit as relaxed as we can. Parents are welcome to stay with their child for every exam and in-office treatment.

Children with a dental home are more likely to get the preventive and routine care they need. We hope you’ll make NECD yours.

We accept most dental insurance, including most PPO plans, and our team is happy to help you check your child’s benefits. We also accept Medicaid, CHIP and Tricare Military Retired. Unfortunately, at this time we are out of network with the Tricare Active Duty Dental Program. If this includes you, please continue to check back as we hope to be able to accept Tricare Active Duty Dental Program one day soon.
