The Toothseum

Reed calling to set up an appointment

A first trip to the dentist is a big step, for children and for parents. The Toothseum, at our Dominion Crossing office, helps make that step a little easier.

Just off the Dominion Crossing waiting room, the Toothseum is filled with activities and games that introduce children to our office and to how teeth stay healthy. New patients can explore, play, and see what a dental visit is all about before it’s their turn.

Getting comfortable, one visit at a time

A new place can feel like a lot, especially for children with special needs such as autism. Short, easy visits to the Toothseum let your child get to know our office, our team, and the sights and sounds of a dental visit before ever sitting in the dental chair. When your child is ready, they can ease into a regular checkup.

Any child can visit, nervous or not. If you think a few get-to-know-us visits would help your child, let our Dominion Crossing team know.

Learning about sugar bugs

Children take better care of their teeth when they understand why it matters. Through hands-on play, the Toothseum teaches kids about “sugar bugs” and how brushing and healthy habits keep them away, so looking after their teeth starts to feel like their job too.

The dentists who own NECD grew up as a dentist’s kids themselves, so making the dental office feel like a friendly place runs in the family.
